Feeling Bad About Feeling BadJ. P. RichardsonNov 29, 20151 min readAs borderlines we typically respond to depression, anxiety, frustration, or anger with more layers of thes same feelings. Because of our perfectionism and tendency to perceive things in black and white extremes, we attempt to obliterate unpleasant feelings rather than understand or cope with them. When we find that we cannot simply erase these bad feelings, we become even more frustrated or guilty. Since feeling bad is unacceptable, we feel bad about feeling bad. When this makes us feel worse, we become cuaght in a seemingly bottomless downward spiral.#BPD
