Who am I?

“We are what we pretend to be.”

- Kurt Vonnegut

As sufferers of BPD we often do not accept our own intelligence,

attractiveness,

or sensitivity as constant traits,

but rather as comparative qualities needing to be continuously re-earned and judged against the qualities in others.

When we achieve success it often feels undeserved,

misplaced.

Perceiving ourselves as static,

rather than in a dynamic state of change,

we view any variation of from this inflexible self-image as shattering.

"Without knowing what I am and why I am here,

Life is impossible."

- Leo Tolstoy
